Welcome to my world of Photography

I would like to welcome you to my world of photography.  My love for photography is only exceeded by the love I have for my wife Barbara, my son Jason and his wife Brandy, my Grandson Benjamin and my daughter Debbie and son-in-law Kerry.

I enjoy all types of photography as you'll see here on my Blog, but photographing people is my favorite.  I truly enjoy  Weddings/Engagements, Bar/Bas Mitzvahs, Quinceanera, Families, Models and just people in general.  Photographing the children from the Camarillo Academy Performing Arts (CAPA) and Sophie Dance brings joy to my heart watching these talented youngsters perform.  Quite often I want to put the camera down and just watch them.

There is no greater joy than photographing my Grandson Benjamin.

Please enjoy my images, drop me a comment as often as you like.

Pamela and Tyler

Tylers real name is Cody Tyler Brown, he grew up in Norman Oklahoma a college town where Oklahoma University is located. Pamela grew up in a small town called Pauls Valley Oklahoma. it has about 5 stop lights throughout the whole town and the highlight to the town is the super Walmart.  Tyler’s  dad grew up there as wellm but moved him and his sister to Norman when they where young to make a better life. Then his dad in 1997 bought a used car dealership in Pauls Valley but still lived in Norman because they were only about 30 minutes from each other. Then his buisiness grew and Tyler in 04 owened his own deatail shop along side his dads car dealership in Pauls Valley so after shchool he would drive down to Pauls Valley and detail and customise cars for his dad and other car dealerships. At this time Pamela didnt know Tyler. She was working as a model and at McDonald’s. She had a child and was married to a guy that she really didn’t love and left him because everyone told her it was the best thing to do. About two years after she was divorced she started hanging out with this girl named Tasha. who was a girl that was friends with her ex and so happens to also be friends with Tyler.  She introduced them one day at his dad’s dealership but he had a girlfriend, however they  hit it off and are now married.

Paget

After graduating from Berkeley in 2009, Paget moved back out to LA to pursue her two passions: acting and singing. People ask her why she’s wasting her degree, to which she replies: “I’m not wasting it. If anything the degree gives me resolve that this is what I am choosing to do, not something I just fell into.” She realizes the odds are working against her but heart and determination will push her through the obstacles.

Keira

Keira is a petite Japanese girl, who modeled in Tokyo for a few year. She has been here in Los Angeles for 2 & half year. People mostly ask her what brought her here.  Her answer is, “I fell in love with this city, it may be because there was someone I wanted to be with, or, let’s say, it was because I was assured this place would make me a strong poweful lady. Modeling in America is a new challenge, I want to express my braveness with my tiny little body.”

Horse Jumping

The other day I was bored out of my mind and took a drive to find something to shoot.  On the backside of Westlake Village is several horse ranches and I came across this riding school where three very talented young ladies were being trained (the last three images are the riders and I’m hoping the mother of one of them will send me their names, as I was too dumb to write them down).  Catching the jump in the right position is not as easy as it seems I found out, next time I’ll do better !!

Santa Barbara and San Francisco Trips

During the month of December, Barbara and I celebrated 40 years of marriage (how time flys) and we took a couple of trips.  One to Santa Barbara where we stayed in a very nice B&B.  It rained all weekend, but it didn’t slow us down.  The first group of images were taken in the rain with a very slow shutter speed as I wanted an impressionistic/painterly effect and yes I did enhance the color as well.  the other images were mostly taken on a trip to San Rafael near San Francisco to see my daughter Debbie and son-in-law Kerry.  It was our first trip to their new home.  We spend a few days there including a little visit into San Francisco.  After leaving them we took Highway 1 down the coast with a stop over in Monterey and Caramel, then thur Big Sur, Morro Bay and then getting onto Highway 101 till getting back home.  What you see are some images I took along the way that I liked and how you enjoy seeing.
