Traditionally, Japanese children dress up on November 15th, Shichigosan which literally means 7, 5 & 3. It is a traditional gala day for children and on this day all boys age 5 and girls age 3 & 7 pay homage to their guardian shrines to express thanks for having reached their ages safely and to pray for continued health and happiness. There is no Shinto Shrine locally, but the Crone family likes to honor the Ancient Traditions of their heritage. Currently, Charles is an 8 years old and is in the 3rd grade, Trinity is a 6 years old and is a 1st grader while the youngest Alie is 5 years old and in kindergarten.
